FieldBoss Pro is a local-first business tool. Ledger records, customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, photos, settings, and backups are stored on the customer's device or browser.
Data stored in the app
The app may store dates, income, expenses, categories, customer/vendor names, job names, notes, amounts, estimate and invoice line items, attached images, and business profile settings.
Account and license checks
FieldBoss Pro may use an online account to check license status, trial dates, promo codes, app version, and basic device/install metadata. This does not upload customer business records.
Cloud storage
The current version does not sync customer business records to a FieldBoss server.
Voice notes
Voice note entry uses browser or device speech recognition when available. If speech recognition is unavailable, customers can type the note manually.
Backups
Customers can export backup files. Customers are responsible for storing backup files safely and importing them when changing devices.
Payments
FieldBoss Pro does not store full payment card numbers. Website payments may be handled through Square or another payment processor, and app store purchases may be handled by Apple or Google.
